Campus Operations Manager, Teacher at Parent Association for Gifted Education, Inc. - Cincinnati, OH, US
The Parent Association for Gifted Education runs The Super Saturday Program. Our mission is to serve intellectually gifted children and their parents through our offering of enrichment classes, speakers and resources. The program has been serving the Greater Cincinnati area since 1981 and operates from the Walnut Hills High School Campus during our fall, winter and spring terms. Current annual enrollment is nearly one thousand students and we run over 30 classes each term. Prior to each session, children choose from dozens of class offerings with a wide variety of topics including many popular STEM based classes. Super Saturday classes are designed for fun hands-on learning and allow children to stretch their abilities in new areas. More importantly, gifted children come together each week with their gifted peers. Children can soar to their own heights and not feel out of place. They make new friends who share their goals, ambitions, interests and abilities. Past and present classes include robotics, programming, engineering, science labs, theater, art, chemistry, critical thinking, foreign language, economics and much more.As an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit we count on the support of our parents, the community and public and private school Gifted Coordinators throughout the region. If you'd like to volunteer, engage a passion and teach a class or have ideas for new classes please get in contact with us.
