Medical Business Development Manager at Muk Design - London, England, United Kingdom
Muk was founded in 2012 in Istanbul by Elif Gürbüz, a notebook-lover-and-architect-turned-graphic-designer-and-entrepreneur, after reading Esther K Smith's How to Make Books. Initially a boutique print studio, Muk hand-made custom stationary for exhibitions, brands, and events. Muk's products have been sold across the country in top design and bookshops, including IKSV, Istanbul Modern, Robinson Crusoe 389 and CerModern. Muk also works with businesses, specializing in art and cultural institutions. Muk creates visual identities, bespoke corporate stationery, and limited-edition capsule collections. We have worked for a range of clients including Pera Museum and Tunc Topcuoglu and with collaborators including SUPERPOOL and Dilek Altan. In 2017, Muk Design moved its headquarters to London. We celebrated the expansion of our business with a rebranding and a brand new product line that celebrate design and designers. Muk's official launch in London will be happening on its 5th birthday, as part of London Design Fair, which is taking place in 21–24th September 2017 in East London. Elif Gürbüz is a designer and creative director. She has gained expertise in both print and web design and worked for top design agencies in London, including Barnbrook, and for clients including Financial Times, Art Basel, Thames & Hudson, Fortnum & Mason and Saatchi Gallery. Elif holds a Masters degree in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins, 2015 and a Bachelor degree in Architecture from METU, 2010. She currently lives and works in London, and continues to run Muk Design with her business partner and mum, Sevgi.
