One of the old Colleges started in 1985 having established a name for itself in the field of Pharmacy Education.Thiru. J.K.K. Natarajah, the founder of this educational institution is a noted industrialist, educationalist and philanthropist. The institute was established in the year 1985 with B.Pharm course and now it also offers the Pharmacy education at Postgraduate levels (i.e. M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. A 6 years integrated Pharm D course is also now being offered in the institute as per the regulations of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The institute is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and approved by Pharmacy Council of India and All India Council for Technical education (AICTE), New Delhi. A Research centre was established our institute for carrying out research works especially for the programme leading Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences which is approved by the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. The institute has six departments namely, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacognosy. All the departments of the institute are active in research and most are judged to be of International standards in their research. It is no surprise that the college as a whole attracts large number of students from various countries like Kenya, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Mauritius, Oman, Muscat etc. The campus is situated in a picturesque surrounding, facing the National Highway-544 in Komarapalayam which is an industrial town, located on the border of Namakkal, Salem and Erode districts of Tamilnadu, flanked by River Cauvery on one side and National Highway-544 which connects Chennai via Salem with Cochin and Trivandrum on the other side.
