Who\Mental health facilitators and horse professionals team up to work with rescued horses to provide psychotherapeutic horse related programs to kids at risk for drug abuse, bullying, and gang involvement.\ \What \Throughout an eight-week session, kids focus on building self-esteem, communication and leadership skills, channeling anger, and learning about the dangers of bullying, gangs, and drugs.\ \Why\As kids develop a strong sense of self, they are empowered and become positive role models within their home and community. This transformational journey happens in an open pasture as the kids connect, touch, and work with rescued horses. Horses have a beautiful way of helping people find the answers from within, as the kids heal, grow, and learn, the horses learn to trust in people again. It is a powerful partnership!\ \Where\The Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, located in Huntington Beach, California, has created an open pasture environment for the rescued horses where all our sessions occur.\\Police Partnerships\We are proud to have partnered with our local law enforcement, the Huntington Beach Police and Los Angeles Police Departments. Their commitment to our vision and dedication in working with us to bring kids into our programs and provide police officers has made a huge impact on the communities they service as well as on our horses who love having the kids, and the officers, participate.\\Community Partnerships\We are fortunate to have so many local businesses, foundations, and community individuals who volunteer their time and talents to the work we do.
