The University of Saint Joseph is a Catholic University located in Macao SAR, China, that closely follows the model and standards of top European universities. It was created in 1996 by the Catholic Foundation for Higher Education (owned in equal parts by the Diocese of Macao and Catholic University of Portugal) and gives continuity to the long and honourable history of Catholic tertiary education in Macao, initiated in the late 16th century by Fr.
