They gathered their three children to venture into an unfamiliar community located in Southern California's High Desert. Unbeknownst to them, a modest-sized group of people were also praying for a ministry committed to teaching God's uncompromising Word to establish itself in the Antelope Valley.On January 10, 1993 Pastor Tom Pickens Jr., together with his wife Minister Donna, their children and 285 founding members ushered in Antelope Valley Christian Center. AVCC has since exploded into a spiritual powerhouse with an ever-growing, unique and vivacious church body that reflects a rich cultural, ethnic and generational mix.
