Geetapuram Port Services Limited (GPSL), is a port service provider at Ispat Jetty, Dharamtar, 22 km down from the mouth of Amba river. It is about 38 km away from inner anchorage and about 50 km from outer anchorage of Mumbai Harbour. The minimum width of the river at any point is 500 meters and navigable width is about 63 meters towards the center of the river. Ispat Jetty, Dharamtar is a lighterage port with channel draft ranging from 3 meters to 4.5 meters. The marine coordinates of port are Latitude 18° 42' 12.5" Longitude 73° 01' 43.0"The port has massive expansion plans, with an area of 1000 acres earmarked for creating facilities for storage of cargo such as coal, coke, iron ore, fertilizers, fertilizers raw materials, cement, clinkers, bauxites, slag, HBI, scraps, break bulk cargo and containers. The present jetty length will be expanded to 1740 meters for providing berthing facilities to 17 barges at any given time.
