Jai Bhim is a not-for-profit, non-governmental and non-religious organization, registered under the Society Registration Act (1958), eligible to work across the entire state of Rajasthan. Jai Bhim was established in 1993 by a group of human rights activists who were inspired by the philosophies of Dr. B. Ambedkar, which emphasize "fighting against the social evils through the weapons of law." In light of this, the organization focuses on two key areas: human rights and livelihood of the marginalised community. Jai Bhim is also registered with the FCRA, and under the 12A and 80 G under I.T. Act, which enables it to accept foreign funds.Jai Bhim had addressed hundreds of cases of atrocities & land encroachment by mobilizing the oppressed by advocating their rights with law enforcement agencies. Jai Bhim has been steering Dalit Rights Campaign for last seven years in Rajasthan & has formed approx. 160 CBOs (Community based Organisation. Members of these CBOs are capacitated into active advocators of human rights by Jai Bhim. In a broader sense, Jai Bhim is working towards ending Untouchability, Caste-based Discrimination and Exclusion.
