Established in 1956, Epilepsy Ontario is a registered charity dedicated to promoting independence and optimal quality of life for people living with epilepsy and seizure disorders by promoting awareness, support services, advocacy, education and research. We do this by providing a variety of programs such as information and referral services, advocacy, summer camp, and the OBCL Epilepsy Scholarship Awards. There are 16 epilepsy agencies in Ontario that provide direct services and supports to people living with epilepsy and their loved ones as well as raise awareness in their local community.Epilepsy Ontario does not receive any government or United Way funding. It sustains its work through foundation and corporate grants as well as the generosity of donors and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that these supports and services are available to those in need.Epilepsy Ontario is a proud member of the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance.
