About FSCLFinancial Services Complaint Limited (FSCL) is an independent not-for-profit External Dispute Resolution (EDR) scheme approved by the Minister for Consumer Affairs under the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008. It has been set up specifically to deal with disputes arising out of financial products and services and is operated by financial dispute resolution specialists. It has no single connection to a particular sector of the financial industry and as such is truly independent.FSCL has scheme participants from all walks of the financial industry ranging from large insurance companies and broker groups through to individual advisers and small finance companies, to name just a few. FSCL is governed by an independent Board that includes industry representatives, consumer representatives and an independent chair. After consultation with industry and consumers, the structure of FSCL has been designed to deliver positive outcomes for all involved. More details are contained in the FSCL Constitution. The scheme is free to consumers. Funding is provided by financial service providers (known as scheme participants) who recognise the importance of offering independent and impartial alternative dispute resolution to their customers. FSCL is managed by the Chief Executive OfficerSusan Taylor - CEO. Ms Taylor is a qualified lawyer who has a wealth of experience in dispute resolution covering a wide range of financial services and products. Prior to joining FSCL she was the Deputy Banking Ombudsman. .
