"Action Against Suicide"The White Wreath Association offers 24-hour support Australia-wide.We provide advocacy, assistance and support to families and individuals who have been affected by a mental illness or suicide. We also help anyone who is suffering from a mental illness or severe depression by giving them all the support they need so that they do not feel like they have to cope alone. In the wider community, we actively seek to create awareness of the misunderstandings relating to mental illness disorders, and provide community education concerning the lack of appropriate treatment. Our ultimate goal is to establish Safe Haven Centres, where mental health sufferers will not be denied treatment and to provide a ‘place of safety' at times when suicide threatens.‘White Wreath Day' is held annually on 29 May in remembrance of all the victims of suicide. White Wreaths are displayed as a memorial in various locations across Australia, each representing a suicide in the last year.Your donation or support on White Wreath Day will help us to achieve our goal and together we can continue to provide families and individuals with the support and care that they need in order to reduce suicide rates in Australia. If you would like more information or to make a donation, please visit our website or call us today.
