The University of St. Mary of the Lake, also known as Mundelein Seminary, is the major seminary and school of theology for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Many of our students will serve as priests of the Archdiocese of Chicago, while others study for 38 other dioceses in the United States and abroad. In addition, our campus is enriched by dynamic institutes that offer educational opportunities for laity, clergy, and religious. Our beautiful Feehan Memorial Library and McEssy Theological Resource Center offer students access to over 200,000 print volumes and a broad spectrum of electronic resources, and our vibrant Conference Center has accommodations for retreats, meetings or company outings.Mundelein Seminary prepares priests for the New Evangelization
