Cal Poly Future Fuels Club first started in December 2012, but was reinstated in 2017 by a small, dedicated group of students with the goal of promoting and further developing technologies that provide an alternative fuel source to petroleum. Our main focus areas include public education, fuel production, and hands-on conversions. Not only do we take pride in educating our own members, we enjoy speaking in front of classes and the general public as well. Students with little to no knowledge of vehicles or alternative fuels can join and jump right into a project with the "Learn by Doing" attitude. Our current projects have us researching and working with methanol, ethanol, biodiesel, waste vegetable oil, and dimethyl ether (DME). We are actively seeking sponsorships for projects and events. Please take a minute to look around our site, check out who we are, what we are working on, and what we have done!
