MedeCal is a Cambridge based start up company specialising in the development and marketing of medical calibration products and software. Initial products are aimed at calibrating standard digital images for linear dimension, colour, grey scale, optical density and tonal scale as well as shape and image orientation. A range of single use calibrated "strips" that can be used in a wide variety of applications has been recently launched. Varying in size, the calibration strips can be used for small moles and lesions up to large wounds, lesions and ulcers. The strips will find use in Dermatology, Diabetes, Skin Cancer Documentation, Pathology, Clinical Trials and Forensic Science.The company is also working on cloud based image analytics that will allow images and data to be shared openly, or in private collaboration, in secured clinical pathways or in clinical trials.The company is based in Cambridge, England
