Akita Innovations produces novel materials and chemicals to solve research and product development challenges for commercial and government customers. Our expertise includes light-absorbing and emitting dyes, optical polymers, functional micro- and nanoparticles, and coatings for selective permeation, wetting or non-wetting, and protection. We produce custom chemicals and materials at the gram to multi-kilogram scale and can both design and synthesize materials to order. State of the art materials analysis and characterization are part of all of our projects. Akita conducts R&D either alone or as a member of industry/academic teams, so no project is too large, or too small.
