The Maritime Battery Forum was established in April 2014 by 30 forward-looking companies, research institutions and governmental organizations. The forum is a meeting place, for exchange of knowledge based on experiences from the usage of batteries within the shipping, oil and offshore industries. Further, the forum is a knowledge bank, making information from experiences available for its members.The forum keeps the members up to date on the developments in technology, and the possibility to learn more about the technical and economic aspects of using battery technology on ships. The forum runs a member website where news and important documents like class rules and research articles are posted.
