Nzuri is a non-profit student run initiative with the aim of making basic eyecare accessible to all.At present, poor vision, due to lack of access to eyeglasses is easily the largest unaddressed disability in the world. In India alone, 550 million individuals are estimated to suffer this fate. Additionally, it was identified that a large number of spectacles, though perfectly functional, become redundant once the individual's eye power changes. These spectacles end up occupying a corner of the house for years and years without any purpose. Nzuri aims to start a conscious revolution of recycling these spectacles and providing them to the millions of people for whom good spectacles are not available.Apart from this, the organization also focuses on creating general awareness about eyecare through sessions and campaigns, to promote basic habits for a lifetime of healthy eyes and strong vision. Our team is dedicated towards creating a clearer and brighter future.
