We are a multi-faceted art organization. Our goal is to create a financially and environmentally sustainable company that hires artists for creative work. Our first product offering is Rookery: art archiving software designed to help amateur collectors uncover meaning in their collections.We started as an artist collective in 2015, hosting seasonal salons, and this practice continues. We select a theme, and consign relevant art from friends in our network. We write a catalog, and host a few events while the art is installed. We now call this sector Peridot Green.Our second sector, Excelsior! came about at the same time. We wanted to keep up our writing practice between catalogs, and explore more compact ideas freely. Every month we write a post to our board, and we also have a few long-term writing projects in the works.In 2017 we decided to incorporate as an LLC and find seed funding for our art archiving software, Rookery. We got that funding by the end of the year, prototyped the product, and hired a Brooklyn firm, AREA 17, to develop it with us. It is due to launch in Spring 2020.Our fourth sector, Big Cypress, is a traveling artist residency. This is the most embodied part of our practice, which helps us stay active, and stay involved in the process of making art.Thank you for visiting our page and we hope you enjoy our work!
