2nd Tier Support Services has been created to do exactly that, to support professional recruitment agencies when they need additional staff. The temporary recruitment market is a highly reactive space, we know, as a team we have been working in the sector since 1995. For years Recruitment Agencies have, at certain times of the year, had to to turn to other agencies to support their peak requirements. This still happens today and, on the whole, it works well But!! By the very nature of what this support function is, a second tier support service it will always create inherent issues and dilemmas. Your second tier agency is actually a competitor. It would be naive to believe that your second tier supplier is not trying, in some way, to develop an internal relationship with your client. To the supporting agency the second tier opportunity is an "open door" and although the vast majority of professional agencies will not blatantly attempt to undermine your relationship, they will most certainly be doing their utmost to develop a relationship with your client with a view to "future opportunities".
