Founded in 1988, The Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society's (PoCo Heritage) mission is to preserve, honour, and promote the history and culture of Port Coquitlam, B.C.We believe that understanding the past is key to building a strong community in the present, and well into the future. To that end, PoCo Heritage operates the Port Coquitlam Museum and Archives located at Leigh Square in the heart of the city. The Museum and Archives houses collections of photographs, newspapers, documents, paintings and artwork, city records, and physical belongings related to the city's past. We also host a variety of permanent and temporary exhibits in our gallery space, and a variety of educational and community events ad programming throughout each year.
