About the Tiara Project Inc The Tiara Project Inc aims to assist parents/families with the heavy cost of formal events such as school formals, debutante balls and weddings by providing a FREE formal dress loan service to those who couldn't otherwise afford it. Every girl wants to be a princess for a day and we hope to make this true for as many girls as possible. OBJECTIVES At The Tiara Project our primary purpose is to assist vulnerable girls or girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to overcome financial barriers enabling participation in social events, particularly formal and semi-formal social events. To achieve this we aim to provide our services to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds for the purpose of giving them the opportunity to participate in social events in order to: • enhance social inclusion, in particular to overcome financial barriers to social inclusion • develop social skills by participating in formal events • enhance personal development, in particular to improve self esteem and confidence • promote self care • foster a sense of connection to their community (including their school community or wider family group) through participation in social events • enhance opportunities for celebration and fun.
