Painter, author, and principal of rosenworld, a design and animation studio.Actually there is no studio, Miss Rosenwald usually works alone, and rosenworld doesn't exist. In spite of this, rosenworld.com was launched in 1995. She's done many, many drawings for The New Yorker magazine,The New York Times, and other fine publications. Rosenwald's design clients have included IKEA, The Sundance Channel, Noggin, Ogilvy, J. Walter Thompson,Sony Music, BHV Paris, Collins, Vintage Books, Coca Cola, Bravo, Nickelodeon, Conde Nast, The Whitney Museum, EdenSpiekermann, The Jewish Museum in London, Little Brown, Houghton Mifflin, and Knopf.Laurie has had solo painting exhibitions at Galerie Pixi in Paris, and Parasol Projects in NYC, among others. She paints with hot, coloured wax. In other words, encaustic- a sadly misunderstood medium, much misused by hobbyists and housewives- anyone who enjoys the smell of burning flesh. She divides her time between New York and Sweden, and appeared as "Woman" on "The Sopranos," a role she was born to play. No-one knows where the money goes.
