MISSION:The founding mission of WVP Health Authority is to preserve and promote the wise use of health resources, enhance the ability of physicians to act as patient's advocates, and assure a sound and ethical business environment that promotes flexibility and the pursuit of appropriate opportunities.HISTORY:Beginning as provider panel for Capitol Health Care in 1976, the organization evolved into Mid Valley Independent Physicians Association (MVIPA) in 1991. A decade of successful population-based, cost-effective health care delivery led to a community based OHP health plan in 2001. A similar partnership in 2005 yielded a Medicare Advantage special needs plan. This led to more Medicare Advantage plans beginning 2008. In 2009 Liberty Street Clinic was created to serve unmet needs. Likewise WVP Home Health and MVP Medical Group were formed in 2010 - all founded in and for our communities. Thak you!
