Regional Manager -Mental Health Services (headspace & LikeMind Centres)
Aftercare was founded in 1907 by Emily Paterson, a woman of great courage, foresight and strength. Even at that time, Aftercare was at the forefront of innovation in mental health services. It was the first organisation in Australia to focus its care primarily on those with a lived experience of mental health issues. First established to assist "persons who had been discharged, recovered from hospitals for the insane", today Aftercare remains the longest-serving organisation in Australia who provide mental health and disability support services. With over 40 services throughout Australia, Aftercare provides a full range of programs and services designed to support people who have been experiencing mental illness or have intellectual disabilities. By helping our clients avoid unnecessary hospital admission, reduce the risk of homelessness and connecting clients and carers with practical, social and emotional supports they need, we enhance their overall mental health and wellbeing.
