All May See Foundation is the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit for the Department of Ophthalmology and Francis I. Proctor Foundation at the University of California, San Francisco. Our mission is to provide support towards:- Vision research opportunities- Educating the next generation of vision scientists and ophthalmology leaders- Exceptional patient careOur Story:Fifty years ago, restoring sight to the blind and eradicating eye disease was the hope and dream of UCSF clinician scientists Samuel Kimura, MD, and Michael Hogan, MD. They knew that research and advanced technologies could uncover answers to halt even the most challenging sight disabilities. They realized that private philanthropy would accelerate the process and founded That Man May See to:- Anchor large-scale discovery programs to move quickly from laboratory bench to patient care, translating ideas into active solutions for those burdened by vision loss and blindness.- Seed-fund initial inquiries of novel approaches to prevention and treatment of eye disease. These inquiries allow researchers to demonstrate "proof of concept" essential to securing major government grants. As we look toward the future, we invite you to join us in supporting the exceptional members of the Department of Ophthalmology and Francis I. Proctor Foundation at UCSF who inspire hope that, one day, all may see.
