Brantel Lanka (Pvt) Limited, entered the rapidly growing mobile phone market in 2004 as the Agents of Lenovo in Sri Lanka. After the successful handling of the Lenovo Agency for the Sri Lankan territory for four years, the company embarked on the ambitious project of designing and launching its own brand. Thus the brand E-TEL was launched in the year 2008 in the Sri Lankan market. E-TEL brand filled a void in the market catering to the mass market with affordable high quality mobile phones.
