We teach the Iyengar method of classic yoga. A yoga practice helps you understand your body and how you move, it teaches you how to focus and concentrate while at the same time learn to relax. It requires endurance and sensitivity and therefore teaches you how to balance aspects of your body and your life. Both strength and flexibility are necessary and a practice helps balance these. Our teachers are trained to give specific instructions and modifications based on individual student's needs; such as back, shoulder or knee issues. Poses are modified accordingly when students have chronic illnesses so they can benefit from the effects of a yoga practice. All our teachers are Certified by the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the US, a process that takes several years and a minimum of two, two day long tests.
