They include rangers taking care of our special landscape, advisers at our information centres who make sure tourists have an amazing visit, property teams, planners and archaeologists. Administrative staff and those working at our head office help provide the infrastructure and support vital to our care of the outdoors. The Lake District is home to the highest mountain in England in Scafell Pike, and the deepest lakes in Wastwater and Windermere.
