Rentel is a offshore wind concession in the Belgian North Sea. The Rentel offshore wind farm is developed, built and operated by Otary; a joint venture alliance of 8 Belgian companies specialised in renewable energy. These 8 offshore wind players decided to join hands and work in close collaboration, boosting their experience and technical knowledge to contribute to a sustainable future. Otary is also responsible for the development, construction and operations of the SeaMade wind farms. The Rentel project - located 40 km north of the Otary headquarters in Ostend - is the fifth offshore wind project realised in the Belgian North Sea. This offshore power station consists of 42 SiemensGamesa 7.0-154 wind turbines and has a maximum installed capacity of 309 MW. The Rentel offshore wind farm delivers renewable energy to approximately 300.000 Belgian households, and is fully operational since November 2018.
