Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) is a not-for-profit membership organisation with 15 years' experience of working with tea producers and tea companies to make tea production more sustainable.Our work, in conjunction with a wide range of partner organisations, improves working conditions and raises the standard of environmental management in the tea sector. We run three interrelated programmes to help us to achieve our vision of a 'thriving tea industry that is socially just and environmentally sustainable.' Monitoring & CertificationOur monitoring programme is free to producers and helps them to meet international social and environmental requirements as laid out in the ETP Global Standard. The programme is based on continuous improvement and is supported by third party independent auditing. We also assist producers to achieve certification to Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance or Utz Certified.Producer SupportWe provide training and support in 5 key areas:• Factory health & safety• Agrochemical management• Fair working practices• Gender issues• Environmental managementStrategic SustainabilityWe also tackle the longer-term and more complex sustainability issues that affect the future of the tea sector. Our projects are helping to safeguard future tea supply chains, and workers' livelihoods by addressing issues such as climate change and social development.
