Our mission is to provide vision and leadership to support thriving and diverse arts in the Mid-Hudson Valley. We value the abundant presence of art in the Mid-Hudson Valley and its ability to uplift, empower and engage. We honor diversity and celebrate creativity. We are committed to playing a central role in supporting and promoting all of the arts in the communities we serve. _____________________ Arts Mid-Hudson was founded in 1964 as the Dutchess County Arts Council, a private, nonprofit arts service organization to promote and coordinate cultural activity and development in Dutchess County. Over 20 years ago, the Arts Council began administering New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) funding in Dutchess and Ulster Counties, and in 2006 was invited to administer Ulster County Cultural Services and Promotion Fund. Our service region expanded during 2014 to include NYSCA fund administration in Orange County. Through this work, we have engaged and promoted the arts across the Mid-Hudson region.
