El Ingenio is an interdisciplinary non- profit organization dedicated to the production, dissemination and promotion of theater with one common denominator: Latin culture. El Ingenio is like a sugar mill where Latin roots are distilled either in their pure form or having been enriched by a steady and increasing process of cultural exchange. The mill has emerged not just as a melting pot of our own artistic creations blossoming in a wind blown city fanned by the breezes of Latin America, but also as a place to showcase the artistic flavor of South Florida through the theater and visual arts and to bring other latin influences currently being developed in other corners of the world closer to our own community.
