Due to recent developments surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement I wanted to give people the opportunity to show their support not only during the protests, but also in their daily lives. I started spraying the Black Lives Matter logo onto peoples bags, t-shirts and jackets during the Bijlmer protest on june 6th 2020 and my empty spray cans afterwards told me that many people were interested. That's when I decided to start Bag to Black. Eco-friendly totebags with a message.I will donate 100% of profits to various goals that engage in the anti-racism movement and/or are actively enhancing the lives of ALL black people. Every 2 months I will donate to 3 new goals. I will always make clear how much will be donated and to which goals it will go. The first 3 goals are: the Marsha P Johnson Institute, Kick Out Zwarte Piet & Black Visions Collective. When buying a bag, you will approximately donate about 12,50 euros. The rest goes to paint, envelopes, labels and delivery costs. I will add a handwritten note to every order. To place an order you can click on link in the bio. Quickly after starting this project many people offered to help. I want to thank FF-packaging for sponsoring the bags. And Ruan Creatief for giving me a 20% discount on the spray cans.
