Formed in 1903, Noroton Heights Fire Department is one of three volunteer fire departments providing fire protection to the town of Darien, CT and mutual-aid to surrounding cities and towns. Our department is a wide-ranging, fully staffed organization with over 60 active members. We answer over 500 calls per year and operate on an approximately $150,000 annual budget as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We own a variety of advanced apparatus outfitted with cutting-edge tools and technology. Every day we handle the town's full range of calls, from simple alarms to major fires, hazmat and heavy rescue.
