Human Film is a UK and Dutch company established in 2005, with a goal to seek and explore individual creativity, producing films with a social conscience and impact.Over the past 7 years Human Film have successfully completed 4 feature films in Iraq; Ahlaam (2006), Iraq, War, Love, God and Madness (2010) and most recently Son of Babylon (2010) the recipient of the Berlinale IFF Peace Prize, Amnesty Film Award 2010 and Karlovy Vary's NETPAC Award. In addition the film will also be Iraq's official entry for the 2011 Oscars and Golden Globes and In My Mother's Arms (2012).Winner of UKTI's Best Overseas Initiative in 2009, for hosting a series of 16mm & 35mm workshops aimed at underprivileged filmmakers in Iraq. Similarly the filmmakers have also establishing the Iraqi Mobile Cinema, screening movies across Iraq both with the hope of improving democracy, freedom and artistic expression in Iraq. Human Film are currently taking a more active role in campaigning, and recently launched the Iraq's Missing Campaign in conjunction with Son of Babylon's central story line, aiming to raise awareness of the 1,000,000 + missing people in Iraq.
