Searle x Waldron is an award winning architectural practice, focused on public, community and residential projects. SXWA design across scales, applying the same design ambition to different scales and typologies. Placing a strong emphasis on uncovering constraints to generate creative and innovative outcomes, we consider how even the smallest project can interact with the wider public and urban realm. The studio was founded after winning the first stage of the MoCAPE international competition for a Museum of Contemporary Art, our practice has completed a multi-purpose community space for the Art Gallery of Ballarat – Australia's largest and oldest regional gallery which was awarded two 2012 Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Awards for ‘Public Architecture - Alterations and Additions' and the ‘Colorbond Award for Steel Architecture.'
