Randy Cooper, a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Family Mediator and CFP/CDFA got certified as a Financial Coach after 8 years as a Divorce Mediator. And the light bulb went on for him! What is really needed to change the face of divorce is a training program for people inspired to be divorce coaches - and some standards which can be respected by the other professionals in the community. With that vision in mind he engaged his wife Pegotty, who had been a coach for 10 years, to work with him to create the CDC Certified Divorce Coach Program. And then we engaged others: a lawyer, a therapist, a child psychologist and parenting coordinator and marketing specialists, to help us build a program which would clearly identify how coaches fit into the overall process of divorce and would teach them where the boundaries are so we can all work together in changing the face of divorce. And would also help them to build a success practice. We have now graduated 7 classes of CDC Certified Divorce Coaches.
