To achieve this aim three qualified institutions work together under the leading of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Altstädt: the department of Polymer Engineering at the University of Bayreuth, the business area of plastics at the Neue Materialien Bayreuth GmbH and the division Polymer Engineering at the TuTech Innovation GmbH in Hamburg. The main research lies on the material, the design and production with polymers. The development strategy consists of the analysis and use of causal relationships between processing, structure and properties of polymer materials.
