My responsibilities have included successfully organizing, managing, identifying, cultivating and soliciting annual, capital, scholarship, major gift and planned giving campaigns. I also have successfully managed direct response mail and media fundraising. In the early 1980's, I helped create the Moves Management Program and have lead its development ever since. Coordinating the work of Trustees and other volunteers and mentoring, developing and supervising staff (the entire Team) has been central to my responsibilities. In addition, I have organized and managed telemarketing, online fundraising, stewardship (I am committed to donor service) data analysis and vendor and consultant relationships. I have lectured on fundraising throughout the world, written two books on proposal preparation, and countless magazine and web articles on all aspects of fundraising and hosted a three part series on Fundraising in America on PBS and a similar two-part series on NPR. I am "fluent" in most fundraising database systems up to and including Raiser's Edge 7.7 as well as Target America and other wealth engine software systems.
