Owner Lorenza Bini has curated a very individual collection of works handcrafted by independent jewellery makers from Europe and around the world.Bini's interest lies in materials and the way different, often unexpected, materials can be used to create sophisticated, contemporary pieces, through high quality craftsmanship and sometimes ancient techniques. Another important aspect for Bini in bringing this work to an Australian audience is that pieces are as wearable as they are distinctive."Every piece in my collection makes you feel special even if you are wearing a pair of jeans," Bini said. There is a wide selection of materials used, with everything from cuffs made of old vinyl records to rings made of coloured pencils fused together. The permanent collection is constantly enriched by new pieces which are celebrated in regular opening events, happening about six times a year"I have chosen quite bold pieces, but they make very elegant statements. I'm interested in pushing the boundaries of jewellery, but still keeping it affordable," she said.
