Lori Gilbert is a visionary, an imaginative illustrator, painter, and designer. Born in Tustin, California, Lori studied at the prestigious Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and pursued her degree at Cal State Long Beach. She was directed to take one introduction to oil painting class, and from there forward her addiction was forever crystallized. Lori's prowess as a professional painter evolved under her own direction; she is a self-taught savant. Her art is inspired by a complex web of internal and external factors, unifying her love for the natural universe as inspiration for many of her pieces. Emotional intellect adds a seemingly dark edge to her work, which never fails to capture the viewer's full attention. Lori's work has been in the coveted US Surf Open 2014 Soul of Surfing Museum show; in the University of Utah's permanent collection; and her original works are hung in prestigious client's homes; notably in Ruth Ko's home next to John Lennon's personal drawings. She has been featured on Extra TV, in Riviera Magazine, and the OC Register.
