The Evansville Trails Coalition was developed as a result of a meeting held in 2009. A small group of people met to discuss the city's struggling efforts to develop the Pigeon Creek Greenway and their concern about the general lack of pedestrian/bicycle trails in our community. They researched other cities with extensive trails systems and found a common factor was the existence of a nonprofit citizens group to help plan, raise funds and promote use of trails. By the end of the year, ETC was incorporated and underway! The goal then, as now, was to ensure a healthy, vibrant and economically thriving future for our community.
