Spurlock is a third-generation company that was originally founded in 1965 by Jewel Spurlock, master electrician. Jewel started this company from the ground up and in 1972 it became Spurlock Incorporated. Over the years the company has taken on many endeavors, including but not limited to: Water treatment plants, rural water lines, pipeline, gas compressor stations, heavy civil, industrial electrical, crane work, cable plowing and trenching. Jewel's son, Mitchell Spurlock, took over the company in 1994. Throughout the years Mitchell's sons, Eric and Palmer have been heavily involved with the company, and as of 2021 Mitchell's son-in-law, Tyler Mercer, master electrician has become Vice President of Spurlock Inc. and the leader of the Spurlock Renewable Branch.
