The Direccion Nacional de Medio Ambiente (DINAMA) is a decentralized body of the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (MVOTMA), in charge of environmental responsibilities assigned to the Secretary of State.The DINAMA is responsible for the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of national plans for environmental protection and to propose and implement national policy in this area, combining the needs of environmental protection with sustainable development and coordinating -MVOTMA - through integrated environmental management of the state and public entities in general (added by Article 8 of the General Law of Environmental Protection, LPGA, Law No. 17 283 of 28 November 2000)
