China Lion Film Distribution Inc. is invested and founded by President Jiang Yanming. Since its establishment in October 2010, China Lion has been devoted to distributing excellent Chinese films in North America. On October 31st, 2011, Chinese leading motion picture powerhouses Huayi Brothers Media Corporation and Bona Film Group Ltd. announced acquisition of strategic stakes in the one-year-old start-up China Lion Film Distribution Inc., integrating U.S. and Canadian distribution to their vast public portfolios. China Lion, headquartered in Los Angeles with international offices in Toronto, Sydney, Beijing, Auckland, etc became the first distributor to release major Chinese theatrical features day-and-date with China. Since 2010, China Lion has theatrically released a series of films including the Chinese blockbusters ‘Aftershock', ‘If You Are The One 2,' ‘What Women Want', ‘The Beginning of the Great Revival', ‘The Viral Factor,' ‘Love', ‘Love in the Buff,' etc. The company also joined forces with Fox International Productions (FIP) in releasing the FIP co-productions ‘The Butcher, the Chef & the Swordsman' and ‘Love in Space'. Those pictures not only made great achievements on box office, but also established and strengthened China Lion's reputation and corporate image as an international provider of high-quality Asian films.
