Our mission is young people have the skills, freedom and creativity to lead the journey towards a more resilient and peaceful society. AVALON School offers learning experiences for young people aged 13 to 19 combining adventure, art and skills for sustainability in an international, English-speaking environment. Avalon School offers spring and summer camps within a beautiful protected wilderness area in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees. The camps are led by a team of experienced outdoor guides, educational facilitators, and language coaches. This action-packed experience offers a choice of outdoor adventure (rock climbing, canyoning, trekking and archery), artistic activities (ecobuilding, music, dance and land art), and community development skills: how to work in a team, express your thoughts, communicate with different people and face new challenges. Inspired by the international Gaia Education Program, Avalon School offers a time and place for intercultural exchange, sharing values, learning new skills and having fun. Students will be taking part in a pioneering education for sustainability program. For non-native English speakers, it is a fantastic opportunity to be immersed in the language. For native English speakers, this is a wonderful chance to be exposed to new languages, both Spanish and the languages of new friends from around the world. Join us on the journey.
