Storytellers for Change is a social impact consulting group that employs an empathy-first approach to tackle social challenges. We strongly believe every story deserves to be heard and we are committed to working with and for communities to build a more empathetic, inclusive, and equitable world. At S4C, we provide:- Motivational storytelling for school assemblies & conference keynotes.- Retreat/Workshop planning and facilitation.- Storytelling trainings for youth, educators, and organizations. - Social Impact Consulting for school districts, colleges, and foundations.Our approach involves implementing Story-Centered Strategy to better understand the needs of communities, envision and identify new opportunities, and co-design solutions to tackle social challenges. Our projects have included developing the first undocumented student center in a public university in the Pacific Northwest, designing culturally responsive community outreach and engagement strategies for school districts, and facilitating a learning collaborative to improve oral health care outcomes for Latino children in Washington State.Some our clients have included the Washington Dental Service Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the School Based Health Alliance, the Bellevue School District, Seattle Public Schools, the Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center at the University of Washington, and the Latino Community Fund of Washington State, among others.Luis Ortega founded Storytellers for Change with a mission to bring a message of empathy and inclusion to 1000 schools and communities across Washington and the nation. Since then, Luis has expanded the work of Storytellers for Change to develop tools, trainings, and strategies for organizations dedicated to build an inclusive, empathetic, and equitable world.
