After Frank passed away his family continued to run the company. By not just selling but also renting, labour-saving appliances & devices became affordable in the post-war austerity years. Expansion followed and by the end of the 20th century Hughes had over 30 shops and 5 service centres. Hughes has continued to grow its retail footprint further; this growth means that Hughes is one of the country's largest specialist electrical retailers and the 2nd largest provider of home entertainment and kitchen appliance rentals. Their commercial division, was proudly the preferred supplier of kitchen appliances to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.Our Smart Home team deals with sound, vision and network installations; offering free in-home visits to discuss the best ways to get customers' homes ‘smart' - from wireless sound systems to kitchen appliances.
