Recover Injury Research Centre's mission is to produce breakthrough research which leads to better outcomes after injury, especially when caused by road traffic crashes. Recover is based in Queensland, Australia, and was previously known as The Centre of National Research on Disability and Rehabilitation Medicine (CONROD). Recover is a joint initiative of The University of Queensland, Griffith University and the Motor Accident Insurance Commission. Since establishment in 1997, Recover has been informing policy and clinical practice to improve the health, psychological, social, vocational and economic outcomes of people with injuries and disabilities. Recover has three research programs: Social and Behavioural Sciences; Rehabilitation Sciences and Vocational and Community Rehabilitation.
