The mission of Gilda's Club is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. Gilda's Club provides a meeting place where men, women and children living with cancer, along with their families and friends, join with others to build emotional and social support as a supplement to medical care.\\Free of charge and non-profit, Gilda's Club offers support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a non-residential, homelike setting. Gilda's Club Kansas City joins a network of clubhouses and Wellness Communities across North America guided by the Cancer Support Community, which shares best practices, spreads innovation, and imparts the lessons learned in order to continually improve the Gilda's Club program. Each clubhouse is a separate entity, and all funds raised locally, stay locally.
